For withstand voltage tests on XLPE cables once laid on-site (after installation) according to IEC 60840 and IEC 62067. The test system can be transported in a container without taking up much space, also it can be set up on a trailer.

Cylinder modular type variable frequency HVAC resonant test systems operate in a frequency range from 20Hz to 300Hz, ideal for field onsite withstand voltage tests on XLPE cables once laid on-site (after installation) according to IEC 60840 and IEC 62067, and test object is connected to the test system using a flexible high-voltage connection.

 

The high-voltage reactor is fixed inductance, form resonance with capacitive test load by frequency converter power supply, and provide undistorted sinusoidal AC resonance test power. It features a modular design, oil insulation and cylinder insulated shell. Several reactors can be connected in series or parallel to achieve higher test voltages or power, voltage up to 2400kV.

 

As part of a series resonant circuit, these systems provide undistorted AC high voltage. And because the systems are designed to have high quality factor (Q), low input power is required (1/Q) which results in lower installation and operating costs.

 

The test system can be transported in a container without taking up much space, also it can be set up on a trailer.
